Medical Device Training: Sales and Marketing Internship with PrepMD LLC
About PrepMD:
PrepMD’s goal is to teach, inspire, and connect talented individuals with the medical device community. Through a comprehensive and demanding training program we prequalify our graduates for hire by industry or hospital based employers, helping companies achieve a quicker path to productivity and reduced training costs. PrepMD students are exposed to a 6 month curriculum focusing cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, basic cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology concepts, business skills development, simulated hands on clinical training and 10 week clinical rotations with major medical centers in the metro Boston area.
Internship dates: 5/14/2012 – 08/17/2012.
Key Intern Responsibilities:
Internship key responsibilities include working with PrepMD management and faculty to assist in developing new strategies to target candidates for PrepMD’s 6 Month training program, interacting with college recruiting and career placement offices, developing partnerships with career placement and transitional services, interfacing with company human resources representatives as well as hiring managers and directors, performing website maintenance and updating and implementing social networking and other marketing initiatives. Intern will have the opportunity to audit a portion of PrepMD’s curriculum while also working on future curriculum and case study development.
The final focus of the intern’s time at PrepMD will be determined based on PrepMD’s business focus at the time of the internship.

Anticipated Time Allocation for Internship Duties are as follows:
Qualifications/Skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; excellent communication and networking skills; website design and editing a plus.
General Requirements:

Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and good character.
Students must have completed at least their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship.

Additional Information:
Internship is full time, 5 days per week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Monthly stipend provided.
Intern will report to Director of Business Development, PrepMD LLC.
