Matt O’Neal – Co-founder, Managing Partner, Faculty

Matt has over 28 years of experience in the health care and medical device industry. He began his career in 1981 with Winthrop Laboratories prior to joining CPI (Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc.) in January 1986. Over the course of his CRM career, Matt has held positions in sales, training, recruiting and various management roles. Matt commercially launched break through medical device technologies including the first implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), the first transvenous ICD therapies and Anti-Tachycardia (ATP) device applications. In 1991 Matt was recognized with the Statesman Award, which is the highest individual honor given by his former company, for performance and leadership. As an Area Director of Sales and most recently as Vice President of Sales for Boston Scientific CRM, Matt has chaired multiple committees (Sales Advisory Council, National Talent Acquisition Team, Business Strategy & Execution Team, and the CRM/EP Integration Team) while innovating and building new training programs (InVest, GOAL, CAL Lab) that delivered clinical excellence while reducing costs and increasing productivity. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. |
Bob Mattioli – Co-founder, Managing Partner, Faculty

Bob Mattioli has 35 years of medical device industry experience, centered in sales and marketing management functions, and has held officer positions with large cap, small cap, as well as start up medical device companies. Bob has built and managed successful sales organizations for Cordis, Pacesetter, Cardiac Datacorp, CPI/ Guidant, St. Jude Medical, Biotronik, and CryoCath Technologies. He has guided successful market development initiatives and commercially launched several emerging medical device applications including the implantable cardioverter defibrillator, cardiac cryoablation, vascular closure devices, heart valves, and bio polymer devices that deliver pharmaceutical interventions. Bob recently served as TyRx Pharma’s VP of Commercial Development where he constructed the commercial investment model that secured the principle investment of $25M for the company. Bob has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University. |
Tom Kenny, CCDS – Director of Education, Faculty

Tom Kenny started his career as a critical care nurse in Coronary Care. He became the Critical Care Educator for the North Broward Hospital District in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tom served in this role for 6 years where he was responsible for the education and training of nurses wishing to enter critical care. In this role, he spoke at mutliple local, regional and international symposium on the topic of critical care nurses. During his time in Florida, he was also on faculty at Broward Community College. In 1991, he entered the Cardiac Rhythm Management arena beginning his career with Intermedics. He was the Director of Education for Intermedics until 1999. At this time, he joined St. Jude Medical as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. During his time at SJM, he was responsible for customer and sales representative training for all products line. He left SJM in February of 2010 to join PrepMD. |
Greg Lisi, CCDS – Director of Business Development, Faculty

Greg Lisi has over 10 years of experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) arena. As a Regional Manager with Boston Scientific he was responsible for the hiring and training of a team of sales and clinical representatives as well as all aspects of his the local business. Prior to his Regional Manager role, Greg served as both a Sales and Clinical Representative in Southeast Michigan, where he won the President’s Club Award for outstanding service, team work and sales results. He has mentored and developed both sales and clinical reps as they have begun their own careers. Prior to industry, Greg served as a Military Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Army. During 8 years of active duty, he served in a variety of key leadership, strategic planning and operations roles, where he has extensive experience in planning, directing, and supervising sophisticated training in a complex and fast moving environment. Greg holds a Bachelors degree in Government from Harvard University, where he also received his certification to teach secondary education in Massachusetts and was a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Reserved Officer Training Corps. |
Cathy Sistrunk – Director of Corporate Training, Faculty

Catherine has over 30 years experience in cardiac nursing and the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry, including CRM training for employees, physicians, and allied health professionals; manager of curriculum design and delivery; active involvement in international education programs; field clinical representative; sales representative; and Director of Community Health Education (with Boston Scientific, Guidant, Cardiac Pacemakers Incorporated, Intermedics and River Oaks Hospital. She has been a member of Heart Rhythm Society (formerly known as NASPE) for over 15 years and holds NASPExAM Testamur AP/PA. Along with her cardiac health care career, Catherine successfully developed and co-owned several commercial businesses and served as an officer for 17 years in the Individual Ready Reserve and Army National Guard Army Nurse Corps, where she created, implemented and directed the Annual Medical Screening process for her State National Guard. Catherine has an Associate Degree Nursing with Honors from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors and an Outstanding Academic Performance Award from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. |
Vicky Perkins, CCDS – Instructor, Faculty

Vicky Perkins has 10 years of professional experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry. She received her Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license from North Eastern University in Boston, MA in 1995 and received her B.S. in Health Science in 2002. She worked in the Cardiac Catheterization lab and in the E.P. Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. She began her medical device career with Medtronic in 2002 as a Clinical Specialist where she provided clinical support, sales support and technical educational support for allied health professionals. In 2008, she joined Boston Scientific and became a Customer Support Representative, focusing on providing support in clinic settings. Vicky has successfully completed the AP NAPSPExAM/IBHRE. |
Gretchen Ehrenzeller, APRN; CCDS; CEPS – Instructor, Faculty
Gretchen Ehrenzeller (Boucher) received her BS in nursing from Boston College in 1998. She began her professional career as a Cardiology RN BSN at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and later at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) dedicated to the MGH high-volume Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Gretchen received her MS in Nursing in 2003, and started her professional career in Electrophysiology as a Nurse Practitioner for the MGH Cardiac Arrhythmia Department. In 2005, she transferred her clinical and technical expertise to industry and began working for St. Jude Medical Inc. At St. Jude Medical, she has held the responsibilities of technical service specialist, as well as corporate and field trainer, during which she was responsible for the education and training of numerous St Jude Medical sales representatives and clinical specialists as well as of physicians and allied health personnel. Gretchen has successfully completed both the AP NAPSPExAM/IBHRE and the EP NAPSPExAM/IBHRE.
Melissa Monaco – Office Manager
Prior to joining PrepMD, Melissa worked at Boston Scientific as administrative assistant to the Area Vice President. Since joining Guidant in 2003, she has maintained her position in the cardiac rhythm management division (CRM). Her previous work experience includes advertising sales for Golf Digest magazine as well as serving as assistant to the Vice President of Sales for LoJack Corporation. Currently pursuing her degree in Psychology/Exercise Physiology.
Craig Swygman – Guest Faculty
Craig has worked in the field of arrhythmias and electrophysiology for over twenty years. He has worked in the Electrophysiology Laboratories at Mayo Clinic, Tufts-New England Medical Center, and UCLA. He has authored and co-authored many abstracts, journal articles and book chapters. Craig is currently the Senior Electrophysiology Technologist in the Heart Rhythm Center at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. In his spare time Craig runs Learn EP, a Cardiac and Electrophysiology education program. Craig has successfully completed both the AP NAPSPExAM/IBHRE and the EP NAPSPExAM/IBHRE.
