Legal And Business Aspects of the Medical Device Industry
Upon completion of this course of study, the PrepMD student will gain a better understanding of the proper methods of marketing current medical devices. A field representative’s conduct, ethics,and business acumen that are necessary to successfully work in the healthcare industry will be discussed.
Instruction on handling product performance issues (recalls) and the laws such as the Sunshine Act and Safe Harbors will be reviewed. An overview of patients rights, product and medical liability, and legal risks will be provided to the students. Analysts updates and current events in the medical device industry will provide informative and lively discussion.
