Basic Timing Cycles and ECG Interpretation
Upon completion of this course, the PrepMD student will be trained on the practical approach and diagnosis of pacemaker, ICD, and Bi-V (CRT) normal operations and malfunctions related to such issues as loss of capture, loss of sensing, and no output.
Assessment of the patient’s intrinsic P, Q, R, S, T waves will be discussed as well as intervals for refractory periods and AV delays.
Newer algorithms for AV search, upper rate response and mode switching will be discussed.
