PrepMD students are trained and placed in careers in the medical device industry and healthcare sector.
Coming from a wide array of backgrounds, to include the liberal arts, life sciences, biomedical engineering, clinical nursing, B2B sales, and marketing, the PrepMD candidate seeks a career change that provides more professional satisfaction and reward.
We work closely with the top medical device companies in the world to prepare and place our candidates in these sectors.
Phase 1 - Core Concept Training
Within the first 8 weeks of training, the student-candidate will begin the PrepMD learning experience through our iPrepMD medium; an on-line study and assessment program that informs the student on the essential base of knowledge required to succeed in the on-site program.
Phase 2 - On-Site Pre-Clinical Training
Following the satisfactory completion of Phase 1 Training, student-candidates are invited to attend the on-site curriculum program, delivered by the PrepMD faculty, here at our 8,000 square foot facility in Braintree MA, just 9 miles south of Boston. The students will immediately build upon their informed base of knowledge with coursework and laboratory work centered on understanding the anatomical, electrical, clinical and technical applications of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs). The students will spend the majority of their time in our simulation lab and programmer bar in preparation of their clinical rotation.
Phase 3 - Clinical Rotations
In conjunction with our academic and community hospital partners, PrepMD students participate in observational clinical rotations in which the learning experiences derived from the didactic and simulation portions of the session are visualized and more practically understood in real-world clinical settings among world class institutions and world renowned physicians.
PrepMD student-candidates uniquely benefit from the insights and tutelage from successful medical device industry professionals. These former managers and senior managers offer their professional experience as instruction into the expectations that will be demanded of the candidate, both during the interview that will initially secure the job and during the job itself, once the candidate is hired. The professional development component of PrepMD differentiates it from any other program of its type because it ensures that the candidate is thoroughly prepared for engaging a successful medical device career.
