Matt O'Neal

Co-founder, Managing Partner, Faculty

Matt O'Neal Matt has over 36 years of experience in the health care and medical device industry. He began his career in 1981 with Winthrop Laboratories prior to joining CPI (Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc.) in January 1986. Over the course of his CRM career, Matt has held positions in sales, training, recruiting and various management roles. Matt commercially launched break through medical device technologies including the first implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), the first transvenous ICD therapies and Anti-Tachycardia (ATP) device applications. Matt was recognized with the Statesman Award, which is the highest individual honor given by his former company, for performance and leadership. As an Area Director of Sales and most recently as Vice President of Sales for Boston Scientific CRM, Matt has chaired multiple committees (Sales Advisory Council, National Talent Acquisition Team, Business Strategy & Execution Team, and the CRM/EP Integration Team) while innovating and building new training programs (InVest, GOAL, CAL Lab) that delivered clinical excellence while reducing costs and increasing productivity. Over the past few years Matt has been a member of the BME Advisory Board at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Bob Mattioli

Co-founder, Managing Partner, Faculty

Bob Mattioli Bob Mattioli has 43 years of medical device industry experience, centered in sales and marketing management functions, and has held officer positions with large cap, small cap, as well as start up medical device companies. Bob has built and managed successful sales organizations for Cordis, Pacesetter, Cardiac Datacorp, CPI/ Guidant, St. Jude Medical, Biotronik, and CryoCath Technologies. He has guided successful market development initiatives and commercially launched several emerging medical device applications including the implantable cardioverter defibrillator, cardiac cryoablation, vascular closure devices, heart valves, and bio polymer devices that deliver pharmaceutical interventions. Bob recently served as TyRx Pharma’s VP of Commercial Development where he constructed the commercial investment model that secured the principle investment of $25M for the company. Bob has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University.

Greg Lisi, CCDS

Program Director, Faculty

Greg Lisi Greg Lisi has over 18 years of experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) arena. As a Regional Manager with Boston Scientific he was responsible for the hiring and training of a team of sales and clinical representatives as well as all aspects of his local business. Prior to his Regional Manager role, Greg served as both a Sales and Clinical Representative in Southeast Michigan, where he won the President’s Club Award for outstanding service, team work and sales results. He has mentored and developed both sales and clinical reps as they have begun their own careers. Prior to industry, Greg served as a Military Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Army. During 8 years of active duty, he served in a variety of key leadership, strategic planning and operations roles, where he has extensive experience in planning, directing, and supervising sophisticated training in a complex and fast moving environment. Greg holds a Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University, where he also received his certification to teach secondary education in Massachusetts and was a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Reserved Officer Training Corps.

Susan Stamatis

Clinical Applications Manager, Faculty

Susan Stamatis With a combined 35 years of cardiac nursing and medical device experience, Susan brings a diverse background to our faculty. Her experience of a critical care nurse manager, as well as her various roles in industry such as clinical specialist, sales rep and manager for companies that include Datascope and Boston Scientific is a strong foundation that enables her to share "real world" experiences on the clinical application of device therapy. Susan's practical experience of overseeing the care of a 1,500 patient device clinic is another example of her ability to provide "hands-on" application experience to students. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University.

Dan Freney

Cardiac Rhythm Management Instructor, Faculty

Dan Freney Dan is a registered nurse and an IBHRE certified cardiac device specialist with 34 years of experience in healthcare and the medical device industry. As a former corporate trainer for Boston Scientific, Dan played a key role in fostering the development of simulated implant training for the CRM industry. His experience in the cardiac surgical unit and cardiac cath lab at Boston Medical Center provides a tremendous resource to our students. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and a Nursing Diploma from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing.

Aimee Bollentin

Remote Monitoring Manager (RemoteMD), Faculty

Aimee Bollentin Aimee is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner with a masters in nursing and is the manager of RemoteMD, our cardiac device remote monitoring service. With over 25 years of nursing and clinical cardiac electrophysiology/CRM experience working in major medical centers in the New England area, Aimee has participated in the training of cardiology and EP Fellows while simultaneously setting up remote monitoring programs for cardiac device patients. She holds an IBHRE certification as a cardiac device specialist. She is a cardiac care associate member of the American College of Cardiology and an allied-professional member of the Heart Rhythm Society. Aimee earned a Diploma in Nursing Sciences from Framingham Union Hospital of Nursing, a BSN from Boston College and a Masters of Science, Nursing/Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing.

Melissa Monaco

Office Manager

Melissa has over 15 years of experience working in the medical device industry. Since inception, she has made significant contributions to the success of PrepMD and its graduates. Prior to joining PrepMD, Melissa was an administrative executive for Boston Scientific and the Northeast Area Vice President. Her work experience includes advertising sales as well as consumer marketing. Her educational studies include Psychology and Exercise Physiology.
